If you landed here, something probably went wrong in a private equity firm’s ownership of a hospital. Maybe it happened to you. Maybe someone you love. Maybe you’re a nurse or a doctor who watched it happen to a patient and couldn’t say anything at the time.
Whatever brought you here — welcome. You’re not alone.
This community exists because two people, a patient and their surrogate, got tired of waiting for someone else to fix a broken system. Private equity ownership of hospitals has turned patient consent forms into a stock market investment strategy. Debt gets serviced. Investors get returns. Executives get millions of dollars in compensation. Patients get harmed, and most people have no idea it’s even happening.
We’re not lawyers. We want to be clear about that upfront. Nothing here is legal advice. What we are is a couple of people who decided to learn the system, document what we find, and make noise about it in places that matter. Courts. Congress. The press. The public record.
This site is our learning journal, out in the open, so you can follow along.

- This Public Group — Start here if you’re new. Go through the public group and learn what we are about. If you want to be a part of our community, become a trial member, which gives you a week to try out the membership.
- Pro Se Journey — Where we document what we’ve learned, the hard way. We show what we learn, how we learn, how we create our pleadings and other case files, how we study, and we show the mistakes and lessons learned, as well as our successes. Watch us break down opposing counsels’ filings and build arguments. We talk through everything. Cases, filings, what we got wrong, what surprised us.
- The Q&A Forum — This is where we answer questions, create our own questions in search of answers, and interact with the community.
