I’m Colleen Crawford and I manage this WordPress site. My husband, Wesley, and I are full-time campers in Tennessee.  Our site name is because of the kudzu vines in the south.
Wesley and I are pro se / self-represented litigants in a complex case against a private equity firm and their hospital.
Our Core Site Structure
I began publicly speaking about our pro se journey mostly on X.com, but it’s a very difficult place to manage case files. Besides, we want to control our own content, so we started this site.  We use the following set up for our infrastructure:
- WordPress, as the content management system;
- BuddyBoss, for membership and community;
- Lifter LMS, to create our pro se “diary” entries, and;
- Elementor as our theme.
We use this site as our own docket management, project management and “diary” as we navigate through litigation. I enjoy writing, so I’ll be keeping a pro se diary, so to speak, and share what Wesley and I are doing for each of the case. We developed our own system, but we also learn as we go and make improvements along the way.
Our Purpose is to Document our Journey
We plan on creating videos that give step-by-step reviews of how we manage the cases, how we come up with our arguments and pleadings, and how learn. Of course, we are not lawyers, so we aren’t here to teach anyone how to litigate.  Our purpose is to document our own journey so we can have a voice even though pro se litigants are written about by many lawyers, and not in a good way.
Of course we make mistakes, but so do lawyers. Self-represented litigants can’t always afford a lawyer, and we fall into that category. We know there are rules to follow, and we are careful to be professional, research, verify citations, and all that jazz.  There is one thing I don’t like about legal documents, clutter, so Wesley and created our own templates to keep our document contents organized.
